Located in Sumner County, Conway Springs has a population of 1,332. Conway Springs is known for the pure under ground natural spring that the town was founded on, and the spring still freely flows into an encased pool, by Captain Hiram M. Cranmer in 1877. The Spring house, is now registered on the National Register of Historic Places, the spring is kept in Conway Springs' well maintained Central Park. The park is home to the city swimming pool, lighted tennis courts, picnic facilities, a band shell, and play ground equipment.
The annual Fall Fest is held in conjunction with a two-day rodeo, along with a parade, special events, and a community barbecue.
Wichita, Kansas' largest city, is located just 20 minutes out of town. Wellington Lake is also just 20 minutes away, and Cheney Lake is just 36 miles north of town. Cheney Lake consists of 9,600 acres of surface water and the State Park consists of 1,913 acres.
