Oxford, a small community in Sumner County with a population of 1221 is located just west of the Arkansas River. This town has its own public schooling system along with their own newspaper the “Oxford Register.” The town has a new city building with a public library now open.
Oxford has many special attractions, businesses, and restaurants. They have an Art & Antique Festival, Watermelon Feed, “Christmas in the Country”, touring of the Old Mill, small town cafés, 12 businesses in town, and two banks, the Community Bank of Oxford and the Oxford Bank.
