Toronto, a small community in north central Kansas has a population of 285 people.  Even though Toronto is not near big cities, the average travel distance to work is 15 minutes.  There are great post-school opportunities with several colleges within 90 miles.  There is Emporia State University, Butler County Community College, Cowley County Community College, Washburn University of Topeka, Pittsburg State University, and University of Kansas. 

Toronto has many different activities.  This includes the public library and the Toronto Lake with 2800 acres of surface lake located just 6 miles south of the town.  Toronto Lake has hiking trails that showcase forests filled with Blackjack Oak trees.  There are also boat ramps, a swimming beach, cabins, a playground, a Shelter house for bad weather, showers, and restrooms.
